Bardic Bedlam in Aston Tor Sunday, May 9 2010

Well I made it out to an event finally.  Life kept getting in the way of my other travels.  Unfortunately there were no knights so I could not advance my quest but we did manage to do a little fighting at the event.  I also shot a little archery which I rarely get a chance to do.  The feast was excellent.  Some of the best tasting dishes I’ve had in the SCA. 

Origionally I was going to go to Saint George in Oak Heart but I had some friends who wanted to go to an event but could only day trip so I chose the even 45 minutes away rather than almost three hours away.

Next event is Melees and Madness which should give me more oppertunities to advance my quest.

Spring! My Quest Begins again! Monday, Mar 29 2010

Squire Questing

Well Spring is finally here.  The Winter was particularly harsh and long and I was unable to get to any tournaments or wars but now it is time to resume my quest.  I still have 99 challenges to make to any Knight who crosses my path.  Hopefully I will cross paths with many over the next few months.  I plan to attend several tournaments and events in April and May. 

April 

10th-11th Spring Spears: Calanais Nuadh, Calontir  Unfortunately I can’t make this because I forgot about prior commitment.

17th-18th Ceilidh:  Dun Ard, Calontir

24th-25th Highland Games: Lost Forest, Calontir

Events for the rest of the year Monday, Jul 6 2009

Well I’ve decided I should try and figure out what events I want to attemd for the rest of the year.   I’m not sure when I am going to get a chance to re-authorize as a fighter but hopefully it won’t be long. 

Anyway here are the events I plan on attending.

July 25th 2009: Feast of Eagles

August 22nd 2009: Cattle Raids 

September 4th 2009: Valor

October 17th 2009: Calontir Scribal Symposium & Regional Fighters Practice: Quills vs. Swords

November 21st 2009: Toys for Tots

December 5th 2009: Kris Kinder

There are a few others I’d like to go to but I’m not sure if I will be able to yet.
